All Souls presents a special opportunity to create a spiritual and learning community; church, elementary and high school, co-located on a new 63 acre site. All Souls' parishioners share a special love for the existing church; its scale, materials, detail and style. Memories of worship experiences in the existing building span generations. Worshipers must find comfort with the new, as it is compared with the old.
The site plan establishes a strong axis with the church at the center, elementary school to the south and high school to the north. Playing fields, parking and access roads are planned on the perimeter, creating a true pedestrian campus. All facilities are designed to take full advantage of economic opportunities for shared and multiple use. The new church will seat 1,400, more than three times the number of the original church. Scale is a critical issue. The width and height of the nave and transepts are controlled so that new space reflects the old. The worship space is flexible,
